It was a successful weekend for the Labatt Blue Buffalo Pond Hockey Tournament at Buffalo RiverWorks.  Thousands of players and fans turned out for hundreds of games, live music and a Sunday Funday brunch complete with Labatt Blue Beermosas.  Sunday's third and final day of the tournament finished with the crowning of six division champions.

The tournament is a four on four format with no goalie played on six indoor rinks.  The event has come a long way since it was first envisioned as an outdoor tournament played in the Buffalo harbor.  But after slushy rinks and one year when it was cancelled because of mild weather the tournament has found a home at Buffalo RiverWorks.
Over the course of the three-day winter weekend event, fans also participated in activities like ice bubble hockey and enjoyed hockey-themed art by sports artist David Arrigo, plus a massive fireworks display celebrating ten years of the Labatt Blue Buffalo Pond Hockey Tournament.
