Tom Brady Might Have Played His Last NFL Game
Think back to what you were doing in the year 2000? Pretty much everything you can think of was different. That was the year that we learned we were all going to be okay after Y2K. George W. Bush would become president by year's end. The Sabres were led by Dominik Hasek, Michael Peca, and Stu Barnes.
That's how long Tom Brady has been in the NFL. The 44-year-old future Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback has won seven Super Bowl titles, six of them with the New England Patriots and one with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Brady is considered by many to be the greatest quarterback of all-time and his stats and Super Bowl titles back up that statement, although he's far from a popular figure here in Buffalo. In fact, he just might be the most hated pro athlete in Buffalo sports history.
Brady proved that he can win a Super Bowl without Patriots head coach Bill Belichick last season, and he's also an MVP candidate this season after passing for an incredible 5,300 yards and 43 touchdowns. The passing yards are a career-high.

Even though Brady is 44 and will be 45 next season, it feels like most assumed he would be back as long as he's playing at this high of a level. However, that might not be the case after all.
Brady told Jim Gray on his Let's Go podcast, which he does regularly, that his family will play a huge role in what he decides to do next in terms of thinking about retiring.
Brady went on to about possibly choosing retirement in 2022.
"I said this a few years ago, it's what relationships are all about, said Brady. It's not always what I want. It's what we want as a family. And I'm gonna spend a lot of time with them and figure out in the future what's next."
If Brady retires, he would walk away as the all-time leader in passing yards (84,520) and passing touchdowns (624).
Brady is the oldest active player at 44. Los Angeles Rams offensive tackle Andrew Whitworth is second at 40. Seven players are tied at three at 39 years old, including former Bills offensive tackle Jason Peters and Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, who is expected to retire this off-season.
