It was a series of firsts at Saturday night's race at Richmond International Raceway.  It was the season's first race under the lights, the first win of the season for Martin Truex, Junior and the first career win on a short track for Truex.  It was also his first win driving for Joe Gibbs Racing.

Truex has had some pretty good cars at Richmond over the years, car good enough to win races, but for whatever reason he always seemed to come up short.  Finally it all came together for his 20th career Cup victory.  He led a race-high 186 laps.

Joey Logano came in a close second.  Unlike what happened last year at Martinsville when Logano sent Truex into the wall, Logano raced him clean.

Clint Bowyer came in third, pole winner Kevin Harvick finished fourth with Denny Hamlin completing the Top 5.

Kyle Busch led 101 laps and finished eighth for his ninth straight Top 10 finish to start the season.  He was caught speeding during a caution and the penalty put him well back in the pack.  He was never able to make back up front to challenge for the lead.

No racing next week for the Easter break.  Cup and Xfinity racers are back at it again in two weeks at Talladega Speedway.
