The Buffalo Bills host the Miami Dolphins in Orchard Park on Saturday Night, for what will be a nationally televised game on The NFL Network. It will also be aired locally in Buffalo on channel 7.

The Bills (10-3) are first in the AFC East and hold down the number one seed in the conference, while the Dolphins (8-5) are second in the AFC East and the sixth seed in the conference.

Buffalo is looking for payback, after the loss in Miami back in week 3 of this season. The Bills outgained the Dolphins by over 280 yards in that game and many Bills players suffered cramping and heat exhaustion from the humidity.

Bills players did not have cooling fans and they were on the sideline at Hard Rock Stadium with zero shade, while the Dolphins were on the shaded sideline.

It's a 180 turnaround for weather this Saturday.

The forecast is calling for temperatures in the mid-to-high 20's with 15-20 mph winds and lake effect snow. That lake effect snow band could be directly over Highmark Stadium during the game and dump heavy snow on the field.

Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa grew up in Hawaii and played college football at Alabama, before being drafted by Miami in 2020.

He has limited experience playing in cold weather and zero experience playing in an actual snow game. He has played in some winter weather back at Alabama, but his lowest QBR ratings in the NFL are when the weather is below 50 degrees.

That Titans game was sleet and freezing rain last season.

This will be Tua's first ever snow game in the NFL and certainly his first time ever playing in significant snowfall.

That game Tua started in Nashville last season was absolutely not a snow game. It was freezing rain.

If the game turns out to be as bad as the 2017 game between the Colts and Bills, it will cause both passing games to be non-existent, but Josh Allen has more athleticism and a better arm that Tagovailoa, so perhaps he could find ways to make plays.

When there's 3-4-5-6-7 inches of snow on the ground, it's almost impossible to cut and maintain footing; straight line running is it.

It should be a fun game to watch for fans on Saturday.
