Van Miller’s Sports Memorabilia To Be Auctioned Off
Collectible items from the estate of former Buffalo Bills play-by-play announcer Van Miller will be auctioned off as part of the Super Bowl NFL Experience this year in Houston.
Among the featured items will be Miller’s Buffalo Bills 1964 AFL and 1991 AFC Championship rings. Also up for bids will be his Buffalo Bills "Honor Roll" Hall of Fame ring and his custom-made 1989 Chrysler Maserati TC convertible will also be up for bids.
More than 750 items will be available for viewing beginning this Saturday, Jan. 28th through Saturday, Feb. 4th. Bids cam be made in person, by phone or online during the live auction.
Other items on the auction block are from the personal collection of Pro Football Hall of Famer Brett Favre including game-worn uniforms and cleats, his 1996 Player of the Year Award and his Super Bowl XXXI Game Ball.
Another item that's sure to draw interest is the original Notre Dame football helmet and jersey worn by “Rudy” Ruettiger during the November 8, 1975 game that was the basis for the book and the 1993 movie that told his life story.
Proceeds from the auction benefit charitable causes.
