New Warning For Parents From Fisher-Price
There is a new warning for parents about a very popular chair that has been used for years!
According to reports, the Infant-to-Toddler Rockers or Newborn-to-Toddler Rockers have an issue that could cause serious injury to children are left unattended.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and Fisher-Price are alerting consumers to at least 13 reported deaths between 2009 and 2021 of infants in Fisher-Price Infant-to-Toddler Rockers and Newborn-to-Toddler Rockers. Rockers should never be used for sleep and infants should never be unsupervised or unrestrained in the Rockers.
We have three sons under 7 years old and all of them were in these chair/rockers at one time or another. I found that they were especially useful when we were trying to feed them or use them for a place for them to hang out when we were watching TV. When it comes down to it, being a parent means that you have to have your head on a swivel all the time! It takes just a second for an accident to happen and this is just another reminder for us to focus on what is happening in front of us.
Parents and caregivers should never use inclined products, such as rockers, gliders, soothers, and swings, for infant sleep and should not leave infants in these products unsupervised, unrestrained, or with bedding material, due to the risk of suffocation.
