It was a great evening of country music, interviews and giveaways on Wednesday as the Country Music Association hosted the Summer Stay-Cay.

Because of the COVID pandemic, the 2020 CMA Fest had to be canceled. The stars and their fans look forward to this amazing event each year and the CMA wasn't going to let the summer go by without some sort of way to get the fans up close with their favorite singers!

I had the pleasure of being asked to represent our Taste of Country brand on Wednesday in an interview with 90's era country star Tracy Lawrence.

Tracy has been a busy artist for the last 30 years and is still putting out some great music. His latest song "When The Cowboy's Gone" is on point with the things the world is facing today.

Tracy had plenty of experience playing at CMA Fest (previously Fan Fair). He was a New Male Vocalist Award nominee in 1993 and has even played the main stage in front of more than 60,000 fans in Nashville during the popular music festival.

I spoke with Tracy Lawrence about the fans, his advice for young stars and his words of encouragement for all of us during this challenging time.

A big thank you to the directors of the CMA Stay-Cay for allowing me the time and for putting together a great night for the fans of country music! Although we couldn't be there in person, it sure was great to hang out with the stars that make country music so great!
