For as many snow and cold weather jokes that Buffalo has to endure, many people seem to forget how hot and humid Buffalo summers can be.
The end of August 2022 is going out in style in Western New York with some hot temperatures and high humidity.
Many parts of New York State are currently under a heat advisory, and the high levels of heat and humidity can really cause some serious issues for pets and people alike.
To help avoid some of the dangers that heat stroke can cause, it's essential to find ways to stay cool in the Buffalo.
So, exactly how do you do that? Well, there are a few things that we can all do to stay cool for the rest of the summer.
Head To The Beach
There are a lot of great beaches in Western New York and Southern Ontario, so you could always just head on down to the beach and play in the water for a while.
Stop By A Pool
In addition to our friends who have a pool, there are quite a few public pools that you can head over to as well. That, of course, is in addition to all of the splash pads that are in the area.
Check Into A Local Cooling Center
On really hot days, communities in Western New York open a series of public locations that can serve as a cooling center. You can head over to one of those for free.

Run Through Some Sprinklers
We used to do this all the time as kids, so maybe it's time to relive the days of our youth and take a quick jog through the sprinkler in the front yard.
