Over the next 10 days, we'll see some high temps in the 50s. It's beginning to look more and more like winter is on its way out and spring is on the way in. That means it's time to start planning those day-cations. January and February of 2022 have been pretty brutal on us. We've had so many snowstorms this winter, we have definitely earned some time to relax and hang out in the sun.

Some of my personal favorites are Hoyt Lake and the Japanese Garden in Delaware Park.  It's such a great spot to enjoy some sun, kickback, and even people-watch. The sun and vitamin D can definitely change my mood for the better. I don't know about you, but I definitely am negatively affected by the dark, cold days of winter. According to the Mayo Clinic,

Seasonal affective disorder (SAD) is a type of depression that's related to changes in seasons — SAD begins and ends at about the same time every year. If you're like most people with SAD, your symptoms start in the fall and continue into the winter months, sapping your energy and making you feel moody. These symptoms often resolve during the spring and summer months.
