Wegmans Recalls Over 1000 Pounds Of Chicken
Check your chicken before you make dinner tonight. Wegmans is recalling over 1000 lbs. of chicken that may not have been inspected. WIVB Channel 4 is reporting that the chicken was produced on Sunday January 3rd.
A federal inspector was the person who found the mistake after Wegman's altered it's production schedule. The chicken was produced outside the approved hours of production.
This is considered a Class 1 recall, which means it's a situation that has “a reasonable probability” that consuming the product will result in serious, adverse health consequences or death.
Here are the products to look out for:
- Approximately 1-lb. vacuum-sealed packages containing “Wegmans Italian Flavored Chicken Breast Cutlet” with a use-by date of 1/24/2016.
- Approximately 1-lb. vacuum-sealed packages containing “Wegmans Brown Sugar Barbecue Seasoned Chicken Breast Cutlet” with a use-by date of 1/15/2016.
- 3-lb. vacuum-sealed packages containing “Wegmans Garlic & Fennel Whole Chicken Roaster” with a use-by date of 1/13/2016.
- 1-lb. vacuum-sealed packages containing “Wokery Sherry Chicken 27482” with use-by date of 1/13/2016.
