I don’t think a single person out there has ever not worried about losing money. Have you ever lost a 20-50-100 dollar bill? It’s devastating. It would be even worse if it was an envelope full of money.

That's exactly what happened to someone in West Seneca on Thursday.

According to the West Seneca Police Department, they received an envelope full of a large sum of cash today. It was turned in to them by a little girl who discovered it on Orchard Park Road.

The high winds this morning seem to be the culprit for who it went missing like it did. The West Seneca Police Department says if anyone named David lost his rent money, to contact them and they will talk to a detective.

I’m thinking a few people might be trying to claim their birth name is David but I’m also guessing the West Seneca Police know that and will make sure to vet through those who are just trying to wrongfully claim a large sum of cash.

This exact scenario is why money orders exist. You get a receipt for your money order, so if the unforeseen happens, your money is not completely lost. Nowadays, many pay rent digitally but I know many who still pay with cash or money order.
