We got record amounts of snow again yesterday. With the looks of things, a lot of people had their cars buried. So how early is too early to get the snowblower out?
You need to do what you need to do. If you have to be to work by 6am, you obviously can’t wait until 7am to get started cleaning out your driveway. I asked what you thought on Facebook and it seems like most people agree, if you have to get out to work, you do what you have to do. It doesn’t matter what time of day it is.

Now, let me ask this question in a different way…How early is too early when it’s not a ton of snow?
Would it bother you if your neighbor was out snow blowing their driveway, just to clean it up at 5:30am? They don’t have anywhere to go. They just want to make sure they have a nice clean driveway when the day starts. Is that an issue?
As with anything, I think it comes down to respect. If it can wait, you wait until a reasonable hour out of respect for your neighbor. If it can’t wait, the responsibility is on the neighbor who is in their house to not cause a problem for the neighbor who is clearing out their driveway to get to work. Yes, there are noise ordinances, but if you know someone has to go to work and you want to be a good neighbor, you don't say anything about them.
