This...is a new building.

It doesn't look like it, does it?  It is.  It's a new set of apartments that you can find on Ohio Street.  I don't get it.  Why are they rusty already?

I know that I'm not an architectural design guy.  I know nothing about fashion, nor do I understand anything about trends like these.  But I just don't understand why in the world we are putting up buildings that already look old.

Before I go too far, I don't want any of the people who are working on these buildings to think that I'm knocking their work.  That is not the case at all.  I just think that a city on the rise is making its buildings look old and dingy right off the bat.  I drive by these apartments on Ohio Street every day and just can't get it.

Can anyone explain it to me?  Is it just an architectural fad?
