According to WIVB Weather, there was a severe thunderstorm warning issued for much of Western New York late on Tuesday as the storms approached the area from the northwest.

The result was a lightning show in the clouds across Western New York that lasted 60-90 minutes or at least it did in the city of Buffalo. Then it was accompanied by a massive amount of hail and rain that caused some flash flooding on streets and roads.

It might've been the craziest thunderstorm I've seen in Western New York and I've lived here all my life (30 years). I have never seen lightning last that long before.
