Williamsville to Cancel Popular Summer Tradition?

Everyone on social media was NOT happy on Monday after a Village of Williamsville Board Meeting earlier this week.

The Eagle House in Williamsville posted about the Village possibly limiting or eliminating all together Music on Main, a very popular weekly music event that happens every Thursday during the summer.

It's a super fun event. Almost every bar on Main Street gets a different musical act each week and most of them our outside so the summer vibe is great. Now, it seems like they are trying to limit the bars and restaurants from doing Music on Main. The current cut off time is 9 PM for all live music outside. The last one for the 2024 season is the August 29, 2024.

It seems odd because it bring so many people to Williamsville and is so beneficial for all of the small businesses on Main Street.

This would not be the first music fest that is cancelled in Western New York. The East Aurora Music Festival is only one day, but that festival is completely cancelled. The organizers say that it has gotten too crazy. During the festival there were fences along the road so people would stay inside and not spill out onto the street.
