White Whiskers Senior Dog Sanctuary is a not-for-profit that specializes in helping senior dogs find a forever home. And you can win with their photo contest.

Have you ever gone to a shelter or a rescue page looking for a pet and see a senior dog sitting there? It's pretty heartbreaking. How does a dog that old end up in that position? Did its owner pass away? Was it wandering the streets looking for food? Did its owner just decide they didn't want them anymore? No matter the circumstance, it's sad to think about a senior dog suddenly looking for a home.

That's where White Whiskers Senior Dog Sanctuary comes in. Their mission is to help to get these senior dogs back into loving homes and until they find those homes, to give them a comfortable place to live.

“I saw how many old dogs end up in shelters for various reasons, and often they don’t get adopted because people are afraid to create that bond with an older dog who’s not going to be around long, I understand that, but they have to go somewhere.” - Polla Milligan, founder, and president of White Whisker's Senior Dog Sanctuary

Unfortunately, there are costs involved in a project like that.

This is where you come in.

They are holding a dog walking photo contest to help raise money for the sanctuary and you could win prizes like a heart-shaped diamond necklace, a pair of bicycles, and an air fryer. It's called the “Wags to Wellness” photo contest.

All you have to do is snap a picture of you walking your best friend (your dog...not your human best friend) and send it here to enter. The cost for entry is $10.

You have until February 13 to get your picture in. Voting will open on Feb. 14, and closes at midnight on Feb. 28. Winners will be announced on March 1.
