150 guinea pigs were running one house in New York State and it is getting national attention. The Buffalo guinea pig Mafia rescue group has helped volunteering rescuing the 150 guinea pigs that were kept inside a home in utica, New York.

They say that it was a large scale animal rescue effort that has resulted in the removal of over 100 guinea pigs from someone's house obviously there was a hoarding situation and is it was extremely unsanitary. More than 50 of the females were believed to be pregnant but on top of that there were so many different problems of medical issues that some of these guinea pigs had including bite wounds, infections, ringworm, lice and more.

They found out that this was the thing because the rescue was alerted that a lady was outside of her home giving away free guinea pigs obviously in a last ditch effort because there's a hoarding situation.

The Buffalo guinea pig Mafia group is now asking for help in terms of veterinarian care funding cages and housing supplies if you have any lying around food, betting and medical supplies as well.

When guinea pigs get pregnant they typically have between one and seven babies and typically they are smaller litters for normal to first time mothers. It takes about 2 months for the babies to be born.
