Winter Weather Advisory Issued For Western New York
Our mini-"Spring" that we had yesterday and today will come crashing down as Mother Nature remembered that it is Wintertime here in Western New York.

After two days of the mid-50s, a major cold front will move into the area dropping the temperature back down to the 20s and will also bring snow with the cold temps.
The National Weather Service in Buffalo has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Northern Erie, Genesee, Chautauqua, Southern Erie counties. The advisory will be in place starting tonight at 7 pm and will go into Friday morning at 9 am.
During the Winter Weather Advisory, we will see mixed precipitation with some snow and ice expected. There could be anywhere between 2 to 4 inches of snow and ice accumulations of one-tenth to two-tenths of an inch. There will also be wind gusts as high as 35 mph.
The quickly dropping temperatures along with the snow and ice could make travel across the area tricky and dangerous. with slick roads and limited visibility.
Western New York is still under a Flood Watch until Friday evening as well. The Flood Watch will be in effect until 7 pm on Friday. Melting snow along with rain and snow could cause flooding in ice jam-prone areas, such as the Buffalo area creeks and near Sunset Bay on Cattaraugus creek. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks
The Flood advisory will be in effect starting tonight at 7 pm and last until Friday night at 7 pm. The advisory is in effect for Niagara, Orleans, Monroe, Erie, Genesee, Wyoming, Livingston, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, and Allegany counties.
