WNY Schools Asking For Parent’s Input For Next School Year
This past Friday was the final day of distance learning for most schools in Western New York and now several school districts have come together to get parent input on how next year's school year should be conducted.
On the heels of in-school learning being shut down for most of the 4th Quarter of this school year because of COVID-19, school officials now want to know how and what parents want for school next year.
My son Avry is a Freshman at Sweet Home and on Friday we received an email survey from his school district asking how we feel about different approaches to the new school. From in-school classes to buses, and sports parents are being asked to voice their opinion.
14 total school districts in Erie County are participating in this survey.
The information and data that is gathered from this survey will help our district, and other local districts, best prepare and develop plans, protocols, and safety measures that are appropriate and align with our stakeholders expectations. Our top priority is the health, safety, and welfare of our students, staff, and families.
Parents have until Friday, June 19th to take the survey. It took me around 5 minutes to complete on my phone.
