U.S. Border Patrol agents arrested a female citizen of the Philippines who attempted to enter the U.S. Army installation at Fort Drum, N.Y., with a fraudulent Filipino passport.
On January 25, 2015, Border Patrol agents from the Wellesley Island Station were alerted by Fort Drum security of a female attempting to enter the base with possible fraudulent documents.
Agents arrived at Fort Drum’s main gate where they examined the passport and interviewed the suspect about her legal status in the U.S. The subject claimed she illegally entered through the U.S.-Mexican border in 2005. Agents took the suspect into custody and transported her to the Wellesley Island Border Patrol Station for further questioning.
The suspect admitted that she had lied about entering the U.S., stating that she had actually entered the country in 2005 at Detroit, Michigan. Record checks verified her statements, and also revealed she had been denied applications to remain in the U.S. due to suspicion of marriage fraud. An immigration judge had ordered her removal from the country in 2010.

The woman is being held pending further investigation and her removal from The U.S.
