Women’s Pro Football Team In Buffalo Is Holding Tryouts
It's fairly obvious for those who live in the Buffalo area to know that this is a drinking city with a significant and intense sports problem. It doesn't matter whether it's basketball, lacrosse, hockey, or football; the people of Western New York love their sports and their teams.
You can look at just about any park or neighborhood and see people outside enjoying the weather and getting ready for their favorite sports.
Sports fans all over the 716 and 585 know that there is no shortage of chances to see your teams and cheer them on. Football is one of those sports where this rings true the most.
No matter what level of play you like to watch, you can find it here. From Little League to High School and College Football to the Pro Leagues, we all have the chance to see sports on the field, and a new team that just got started last year is looking to add players to their roster.
Buffalo Yeti's Holding Tryouts For Women In Western New York
The Buffalo Yeti's professional women's tackle football team, which was founded last year by Julius, Tahzsa, and Jeronica Davis in Buffalo, plays ball in the Women’s Football Alliance league, and they are planning to hold tryouts this year for women who want a chance to play professional football.
The Yetis are the first women's pro football team to take the field in Buffalo since the Buffalo All-Stars, an all-women's tackle football team which played in the 1970s.
Being that football is America's most popular sport, it sounds like a great opportunity for women who love football to get a chance to get on the field.
If you or someone you know wants a chance to put on some pads and play on the gridiron, the Yetis have several open tryouts scheduled this summer. The next one is set for Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Hilary Park in South Buffalo.
Football runs through the veins of Buffalo, so this sounds like a good opportunity.
