As Western New Yorkers, we are always eager to help others! Today is a great day to be part of something special.

March 21 has been set aside as World Down Syndrome Day.

I spoke with Matt Lasher about  21_Connect - 21connect.org - a not-for-profit advocacy group focused on educating the community about Down syndrome,  on the show Thursday about why March 21 is the day? It's simple...

World Down Syndrome Day falls on 3/21 because people with Down syndrome have three copies of their 21st chromosome - so today is a great day to spread awareness and celebrate.
