Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year's Turkey Trot will be a virtual run for many people. Of course to keep the title of the oldest continually running public footrace in North America, they will have a small race of only 125 people to keep their 125 year streak intact.

According to Wikipedia, The YMCA Turkey Trot began back in 1896 and has been run every year since.

Having established itself in 1896 and run every year since, even during World War I, the 1918 flu pandemic, World War II and the coronavirus pandemic of 2020.

So while thousands of runners usually run in the race, officials randomly selected a lucky 125 runners who will take part in the actual race this year.
