Alex Boles, a teacher in Tennessee wrote the word 'STUPID' across one students forehead in permanent marker. It has not been released exactly why he did it, but sources say that Boles wrote the word backwards on the students forehead so that he can look at himself in the mirror.

School officials would barley comment except:

[THEY] would not identify the teacher other than to say that this was his first teaching job out of college and that the teacher had been an instructor at Allons Elementary School in Livingston, Tenn., since August.

The director of the schools said:

We're here to help the children and not to hurt them. "One word can break a child. I mean, I’ve got three children. I wouldn't want it done to mine."
