You know when it comes to working out, a lot of us love to make up excuses of why we can't go to the gym: it is too cold out, I'll go tomorrow, I am tired, I will start next month....the list goes on and on.

Well, if you see people WORKING out on their front porch in the middle of Winter do not be too surprised. The City of Buffalo has started a brand new initiative that has people working out short stints right from the comfort of their porch.

There is a big box truck that will be cruising around with two massive LED video boards attached to it and will be at certain places on certain days.

Now you have two options: to go work out at sessions that happen at the PARK or afterwards, the trucks will drive around the neighborhoods and come to YOU!

  • On Tuesday you can go to the parks at Roosevelt and Schiller Parks
  • On Wednesdays, Winter Porch Sports events will take place at Front Park and Martin Luther King, Jr. Park

Of course, you bundle up and go workout with the trainer that is on the screen in front of you. The sessions at the park will last until 4 PM and then hit the streets from 4 PM to 8 PM.

You can get more info right on the City of Buffalo website!
