I think for those of us in the audience and for Justin Moore...that was a first. On Sunday night, Justin Moore debuted music from his new album "Off The Beaten Path," while performing along a river on a boat! OK, so the boat was on a trailer and not actually IN the water, but still, it was one of the coolest, most redneck concerts I have ever had the pleasure of witnessing.

He started here as an intern when he was a teenager.  He'd help out around the station and at remotes and other appearances working without pay.  But you could see it right away. He was so dedicated as an intern that he was offered a job, first as a part timer, then full time working the evening shift.  Eventually he moved to mornings, and we've sat across from each other every morning ever since.

We originally posted this on May 7th, 2011 and thought it was fitting to repost for this Mother's Day.

Clay Moden was invited out to Arrowhead Golf Club in Akron, N.Y. the other day to play some golf.  What a beautiful course it is. Lots of wide open spaces, long par 5 holes, some challenging par 3's, and one of the most beautiful club houses in all of New York State.

With Easter being this weekend.  I thought I would share my "Peep Show."  I would like to tell you this story has a happy ending for my Peeps...but...let's just say it wasn't such a Good Friday for candy around my house!

I was so crushed to hear of the passing of Clay's dad over the weekend.  What a great guy.  He was an extremely gifted teacher and maybe some of that came from his sense of humor.  It's probably where Clay got his.  Clay's dad always made me laugh.  He always had a clever comment about whatever was going on at the time.  And boy did that guy know history.
