Elma native Eric Kaminski is an Olympic medal winner.  He and teammates Brady Ellison and Jacob Wukie settled for silver when Italy's Michele Frangilli was perfect on the final shot of the match to claim the gold for the Italians by just one point.  It was the first-ever gold medal in archery for Italy and the silver was the best finish for American archers since 1996.
