It’s hard not to watch Olympic coverage on TV. The summer and winter games come only every four years so a lot of people feel they’re missing a piece of history if they don’t tune in – at least I do. Last night, I did what many people end up doing late at night when the Olympics are on: I found myself watching a sport that I didn't even know existed.  It was called the men's canoe doubles, and it looked ridiculously hard. Which got me thinking -- what is the hardest event at this year's Summer Games?

Elma native Eric Kaminski is an Olympic medal winner.  He and teammates Brady Ellison and Jacob Wukie settled for silver when Italy's Michele Frangilli was perfect on the final shot of the match to claim the gold for the Italians by just one point.  It was the first-ever gold medal in archery for Italy and the silver was the best finish for American archers since 1996.
