The Bills are 10-4 and have already clinched a playoff berth, with two games left in the 2019 regular season!

The last time the Bills won 10 games was 1999. Think about that -- 20 years ago. Where were you in 1999? Heck, what was in Western New York back in 1999?

Here are 10 things that used to be in Buffalo or WNY the last time the Bills won 10 games:

1) Ames

Remember this store? My parents used to take me to the location off Union in West Seneca, that used to be a Hills! Sadly, Ames is gone.

2) Montgomery Ward

Back when the Lockport Mall was still a thing, I also vaguely remember visiting this department store because my mom loved it so much. They closed not long after 1999.

3) Swiss Chalet

Ah yes, the smell of that rotisserie chicken! Swiss Chalet's location on Niagara Falls Blvd. was closed in 2010. The old location used to be downtown.

4) Dickies Donuts

Not sure how many people remember Dickies Donuts but there was a location off the Dingens Street exit near the 190 in Buffalo. I also remember one in Wheatfield? They turned into Donut Kraze.

5) Jenss

I forgot all about this store until I had my memory jogged by my dad. They had locations in the Boulevard and Eastern Hills Malls.

6) Kaufmanns

This store was also in the Boulevard Mall until the mid-2000's. Sometimes it was hard to tell all these department stores apart and of course with online shopping, some of them were bound to bite the dust.

7) Blockbuster

Ah, how can you leave Blockbuster off? Back in 1999, it was a kid's dream to get a summer movie or video game pass! My sister worked at the one in north Amherst on Niagara Falls Blvd.

8) Chase-Pitkin

This is a flashback. The location I remember is the current Alberta Drive Wegmans. Owned by Wegmans, Chase Pitkin sat across from the old Alberta Drive Wegmans location in that giant parking lot. They were competitors with The Home Depot so they lost that battle.

9) The Buffalo Blizzard

Buffalo's very own indoor soccer team. They played from 1992-2001 and most years used the then, Marina Midland Arena (now Key Bank Center).

10) The Buffalo Destroyers

The arena league football team's first year was 1999 but they eventually moved to Columbus a few years later. They too played their games in the arena.

What other defunct stores do you remember from 1999?
