Heart of Texas is the theme for 2017. If someone were asked to list the top 3 or 4 states that are best known for their BBQ, Texas would probably be on all of them. From the early German and Czech butchers that smoked the leftovers to today’s hip, new BBQ joints getting national accolades and recognition, Texas is worthy of declaring itself the BBQ capital.
