While on a drive to a softball game on Tuesday (and by drive, I mean getting lost in downtown Buffalo trying to find the field), I stumbled upon a gathering of food trucks! At first I thought maybe this is where the food trucks go at the end of the night. since the only time I’ve ever seen them is lunchtime in downtown Buffalo, but I was wrong.

If you’re dying to try some food from your favorite food truck, but you’re usually at work and can’t get out, or the one you particularly want isn’t around, this is your chance. Apparently every Tuesday, the food trucks will be at Larkin Square. From 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. every night, they set up shop for you to taste some delicious food! Even better, they are serving up beer and wine! Yes, you don’t get that during the work day!

So relax at Larkin Square with some delicious food and a glass of wine or beer! Just in case you are like me and had no idea that this beautiful square existed, it’s located at 745 Seneca Street, at the intersection of Seneca and Swan Street in Buffalo. Trust me, you won’t be able to miss the food trucks!

Then, for the history geek in all of us, you'll definitely want to check out Old Fort Niagara in Youngstown. I LOVE going to this place. It always blows my mind that history was made at a place I'm venturing around wearing flip-flops. The 18th century military compound was occupied by French, British and even Colonial troops. Spend the day checking out cannons, musket firings and even historical re-enactments. Next Saturday at Old Fort Niagara, they even have invited the BPO. The event kicks off at 7:30 p.m. Just because it’s summer doesn't mean you leave the history in school!
