When you find yourself craving a steak sub in the Northtowns, you will soon have a new option.  Steaksters, which first started as a mobile food truck in early 2019, is now about to open its second restaurant location in North Tonawanda.  The space has sat vacant for two years and was previously occupied by a Subway restaurant.  The second Steaksters location at 3509 Niagara Falls Blvd in NT, will have one major difference from the store's original Wheatfield location.  They will not be serving pizza.

Steaksters owner Veronica Ventry told us that they stumbled upon the new location by accident when they saw the "for rent" sign on a trip to Walmart. After taking a look, they realized that the location would be perfect for the original Steaksters' vision of a sub shop.  The new location will be offering most of the other favorites from the original Steaksters menu such as subs, wraps, salads, and some other surprises.

The current location at 2500 Niagara Falls Boulevard in Wheatfield, previously Granma D's Pizzeria, was a happy accident for Steakstears.  They were looking for a commissary to prepare food for their mobile business and purchased the Boulevard location which happened to have pizza ovens in it.

They weren't planning on being a pizza joint, but the Ventry family that owns Staeksters, of Ventry's fame, has deep pizza roots in Niagara Falls as Veronica's grandfather started Ventry's Pizza, and pizza became a staple of their Wheatfield location.

The Steaksters locations and truck are truly a family affair with Veronica's children; Nick Williams, Justin Williams, Amanda Allen, Jewel Williams, and her boyfriend Marco Lorenti all working at the restaurant.

The new Steaksters location in North Tonawanda will offer; sit-down dining, take-out, and a drive-thru window. They plan on holding a hiring event soon for their new location.  More details will be posted soon on their Facebook page.

And be on the lookout for the Steaksters food truck, out and about in Western New York for the season, starting in May.

Be sure to try their stinger, it gets the Nik Rivers seal of approval!
