I will admit, the excitement of Nik Wallenda's walk over Niagara Falls didn't really start for me until Friday evening, about two hours before his death-defying feat. I was sitting in our backyard watching Pearl on her dog run, a cable that stretches from the house to a tree in the backyard (very convenient on those cold winter mornings!). As I looked at the cable, it suddenly hit me, and in a flash, I was in the basement pulling out one of my favorite childhood toys -- my beloved GI Joe collection!

Anyone who knows me knows I am a kid and a joker at heart. So after taking some pictures of "Joe" in various precarious positions on the wire, I posted them on my Facebook page. The reaction was instant. Some thought it was funny, some thought I lost my mind, and some simply said I had WAY too much time on my hands. Some perhaps thought all of the above.

Tell me what YOU think! And congratulations to Mr. Wallenda, who truly inspired all of us. Yes, we can succeed if we simply put our minds to it.
