A Purple Zydeco Is Perfect For A Buffalo Mardi Gras Party

This past week it was Fat Tuesday and Mardi Gras and if you didn't have a chance to enjoy the celebration you can do it this weekend with the perfect drink

The colors of Mardi Gras are Yellow, Green, and Purple so I decided to make a Purple Zydeco. It is easy to make and will bring some color to your party.

To make a "Purple Zydeco" you start with 2oz of vodka. I went with Pinnacle since it is smooth and on-sale right now at the three independently owned Value Wine Group stores.

Add the vodka to a shaker full of ice, then add 2oz of Blue Curacao, 2oz of Gernidine, and a splash of Sweet and Sour mix.

Shake it up and then strain into a glass full of ice. Here is the cool part. Since Blue Curacao is blue and the Gernidine is red, when you strain it, it comes out an amazing purple color!

Now you have a perfect drink for your Mardi Gras party! A Purple Zydeco.
