The Town of Hamburg police were investigating an accident and still on scene early Monday morning. Roads were closed around the Erie County Fairgrounds Monday as crews were still in place.

According to reports, there were two accidents that were in place in the vicinity of the Erie County Fairgrounds.

The intersection of McKinley Parkway near Quinby was shutdown for the investigation.

NITEC reports that the accidents have been cleared as off 4:33 am Monday.

The Southtown Scanner reported on it's Facebook page that:

At this time there have been two very serious accidents in Hamburg in the last two hours. The following roads are closed until further notice:
McKinley Parkway is closed in both directions between Marie Drive and Quinby Drive.
South Park Avenue remains closed in both directions between Quinby Drive and Sowles Road.
Quinby Drive is closed in its entirety (between South Park Avenue and McKinley Parkway).

As far as the Erie County Fair, save the date for the next 12 days in 2024.
