This Is The Report New York Residents Have Waited For
There simply is no better time to be in New York State than in the fall. Actually, the best months to be here are from September through New Year's Eve! New York State has dropped the annual fall foliage report and it is the perfect guide for that fall adventure your family is planning.
The leaves have started to change and across New York State, the vibrant colors are starting to come alive. The forecast is calling for ideal conditions to hike, camp or just drive around and witness the beauty of the leaves in their golden era.
While New York State is famous for charging for just about everything, taking in the majesty of this season is free.
The Fall Foliage Report In New York State
We took a road trip that led us through Lake Placid and the Adirondack Mountains at the end of August. You could already feel fall creeping in and see the leaves starting to change color. The Adirondack Mountain area sees the first signs of Autumn every year.
According to the report organizers, "Reports are obtained from more than 90 volunteer field observers and reflect expected color conditions for the coming weekend".
Here is how this weekend shapes up. As I noted above, the North Country/Adirondacks will be vibrant this weekend while most of the rest of the state is only starting to see some change.
