NFL: Bills-Bengals Game Will Not Be Resumed This Week
The Buffalo Bills, Cincinnati Bengals, the NFL and those around the country are thinking of Bills safety Damar Hamlin, after Hamlin collapsed on the field last night during Monday Night Football.
Hamlin collapsed after tackling Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins. He was administered CPR and according to the Bills, regained his heartbeat on the field and was then transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where Hamlin remains in critical condition in the intensive care unit.
The Bills game at the Bengals will not be resumed this week, as the NFL has announced that after speaking to both teams, along with the NFLPA, the game will not be played this week and there is no decision on a future game date.
There are no changes to week 18, which will be this upcoming weekend.
The Bills are scheduled to host the New England Patriots this Sunday afternoon at Highmark Stadium, which was intended to be the 2022 regular season finale.
Damar Hamlin's health remains at the top of everyone's mind. The schedule will work itself out, but the Bills, Bengals and NFL have made the decision there are more important things at hand right now.
