Bills Fans: Are You Stressed? Try This
To be fair, every Buffalo Bills fan, Detroit Lions fan, and (if we’re being honest) every legitimate fan who remotely follows football knows that Sunday afternoon’s matchup was going to be a great game.
You could arguably say that Buffalo has triumphed in the two most highly anticipated games of the 2024-25 NFL season outside of the Super Bowl; number one being when the Chiefs returned to Highmark Stadium a month ago (and left with a loss with on their earlier spotless season), and number two being the back and forth battle at Ford Field in Detroit between the Lions and the Bills.
Did we just catch a glimpse of our future when two of America’s most beloved teams, both born out of blue collar cities with a down and out history, meet up once again for Super Bowl LIX on February 9th? We just might have.
But before we look too far ahead, let’s just take a second and be grateful we even made it out of the Motor City with a 48-42 win.
Why Bills Fans Are Freaking Out After Their Win Over The Lions
We knew going in that the Bills and Lions were evenly matched. The Lions were 2.5 point favorites in the SportsConsensus betting odds, and if you’re a regular in the books and know that the home team automatically gets three points in their favor, you do the math. (Also, whoever bet the over on points scored– which was 55.5– I’m free for lunch anytime, and you’re paying).
That being said, even though the gameday anticipation was high and the threat was real, watching those two teams go back and forth was still. Insanely. Frustrating. STRESSFUL. And the anxiety is only beginning for Bills fans.
Considering that Damar Hamlin, Taylor Rapp, and Rasul Douglas were absent on the field, along with the distressing news that Matt Milano was declared “questionable” in the fourth quarter after literally JUST making his return to the Bills defense, how can we not be sweating?
Thank goodness there are still tons of pictures of our savior Josh Allen all over the Internet where he is beaming with adoration while holding cuddly puppies.
We all could use five minutes to take a breath, take a scroll and take a look.
