Bills Mafia Are Huge Offenders Of This Illegal Activity
Most of the world recognizes Bills Mafia as being as rowdy as they are generous. However, a recent study shows that "rule follower" doesn't apply to many of them.
One could argue that there are two types of people in the world. Some people are rule followers and some people are rule breakers. The rule followers would always prefer to follow the rules no matter what. It makes them uncomfortable to break the rules, and it makes them just as uncomfortable to be around others who break them. The rule breakers, on the other hand, hate to have rules put on them, and they'll do whatever they can as long as they don't get caught. This is especially true for rules that they think don't hurt anyone.
Take streaming NFL games, for example. The NFL is one of the wealthiest leagues in the world. If someone wanted to stream a game illegally, who would it really hurt? It's just a silly rule, right?
Catching a game isn't normally an issue when you're watching the game in the broadcast area of that team. You could pay for a subscription to watch, but that could cost you hundreds of dollars and you probably don't need a whole-season subscription. But when you're trying to watch a game from out of town, streaming is often your only option. And according to a new study, many Bills fans will do whatever it takes to be able to watch.
According to a study from Oddspedia, Bills Mafia ranks third among NFL teams for illegal streaming, with almost half (47.6%) admitting to using unauthorized services. They're only behind the Cincinnati Bengals (51.6%) and Green Bay Packers (47.7%). But they're certainly not alone. The study also found that 93% of fans feel no moral issue with illegal streams.
They say that Bills fans travel well, and maybe this is a factor. If there are fans all over the country hoping to watch the Bills, is that why their illegal streaming numbers are so high?
