Congratulations to Buffalo Bills quarterback Cardale Jones who received his degree from Ohio State University over the weekend. It was back in 2012 when he was a third string quarterback with the Buckeyes that he tweeted his thoughts about why school seemed to be so unnecessary when you were a college football player.

Last week Cardale posted a screenshot of that tweet from 2012 to show how far he has come.

Jones became the first member of his family to graduate from college, earning a degree in African-American and African studies.  His offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Ohio State and now Houston Texans coach Tom Herman attended the ceremony.

Jones led Ohio State to a 59-0 win over Wisconsin in the Big Ten Championship game in 2014 and was named the game's MVP, then led the Buckeyes to the first College Football Playoff National Championship.  He was selected by the Bills in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft.
