Sunday night, the Buffalo Bills got beat up in Baltimore.  Today they made a move that could be a reaction to what they saw.

Tom Pelissaro was the first to break the news this morning that the Bills are adding to their defensive line.  They've signed defensive Tackle Zion Logue from the Atlanta Falcons' practice squad.

He will join Ed Oliver, Da'Quan Jones, Dawayne Smoot, and be reunited with former UGA center Sedrick Van Pran-Granger who joined the Bills following the NFL draft in the spring.

Is this a reaction to what happened on Sunday?

The signing does feel just a little out of the blue.  While a lot of people were probably expecting to see a new linebacker, kicker, or even wide receiver get signed, they signed a defensive lineman.

The move comes though after the Bills got slashed on the ground against the Ravens.  As expected, Derrick Henry led the pack with 199 yards rushing.

Does the D-Line need help?  Or was Derrick Henry's success a freak moment?

It's not every day that a team allows one running back to do what Derrick Henry did to the Bills.  When a running back gets over 100 yards rushing, it's a pretty good day in this pass-heavy NFL.  So to nearly double that is insane.  But is it because the Bills failed, or because Derrick Henry is just that good?

Some would say it was a combination of a little of both.

Logue will now be added to the Bills 53-man roster

Logue is listed at 6'6" and 314 pounds.  He should add a little beef to the interior part of that line.  When players are signed from another team's practice squad they are automatically added to the 53-man roster of the team that signed them.  You cannot be signed from one team's practice squad and then added to a new team's practice squad.  They also have to be eligible to play for three games. He hasn't appeared in a regular season game but you can expect him to be dressed for Sunday's game against the Texans.
