This accident happened on the same day that a boat sank on Lake Erie near Buffalo after being engulfed in flames. The Buffalo Fire Department sent the Edward M. Cotter fire boat to the scene after thick black smoke was reported onshore. That boat fire was seen as far away as the I-190 and snarled traffic from those who were watching.

We will be watching for developments early on Thursday regarding the search near Grand Island. If you have any information, please send us a message through our app.
