There is a chance that Buffalo might lose a title that we have had for years! When it comes to snowfall in one season, Buffalo,NY has been the leader since 1977 but Erie,PA may soon take that away.

According to Metro Source News:

Buffalo holds the record for most snowfall for a large U.S. city in a single wintry season with 199-point-four inches in the winter of 1976 to 1977. Erie, Pennsylvania, is less than an inch behind that and forecasters are calling for up to two inches of new snowfall today. There's a 90-percent chance Erie will wear the new snowfall crown later today.

As of 4:45am on Thursday, Patrick Hammer from Channel 2 was still holding out hope that the Queen City will remain on top!
