Most members of Bills Mafia are still hurting from the heart-breaking Buffalo Bills loss to Kansas City in overtime this past Sunday.

But if History repeats itself, that loss on Sunday could mean an amazing future for the Buffalo Bills for the next four years.

You see, these past two seasons mirror the Buffalo Bills in the late 1980s right before the Bills went to four straight Super Bowls.

Back in 1988, the Buffalo Bills went to the AFC Championship game on the road against the Cincinnati Bengals. They had won the AFC East and won a playoff game at home before losing to the Bengals 21-10.

Last season the Buffalo Bills won two home playoff games before heading on the road and losing the AFC Championship to Kansas City.

Then in 1989, the Buffalo again won the AFC East championship and would go on the road in the playoffs in Cleveland. They would lose that NFL divisional round to Cleveland 34-30.

This past season, the Bills also clinched the AFC East, and then this past Sunday they would lose to the Kansas City Chiefs in the NFL divisional round 42-36 in overtime.

After those two playoffs losses in 1988 and 1989 the Buffalo Bills would go on to play in four straight Super Bowls.

So if history does go on to repeat itself, the Buffalo Bills are set to head to the Super Bowl next season and the year after and the year after, and the year after.

Of course, as Bills Mafia members we are hoping that the results of the Super Bowls will be different than those in the 1990s.

So Bills Mafia, raise your heads, get ready to mount up, and get ready to tell the world to deal with it because we are back!
