RUMOR: Buffalo Bills Expect To Resign Fan Favorite
The Buffalo Bills are expected to make several moves ahead of the final 53-man roster deadline on Tuesday at 4 pm.
One of the moves could be bringing back a fan favorite to help anchor the defense line. Even with several draft picks on the roster at the D-line, early reports are calling for the Bills to re-sign defensive tackle Jordan Phillips.
Phillips has spent the past two seasons with the Buffalo Bills. He also played for the Bills in 2018 and 2019.
Last season, Phillips played in 14 games for the Bills, recording 15 total tackles and 2.5 sacks. He also had a career high of 6 pass deflections last season with the Bills.
Phillips became a fan favorite after he was caught practicing in a heavy winter coat underneath his jersey because he was too cold.
Last year, Phillips made just over $1 million, and that is expected to be right around what he would make this upcoming season if he does re-sign with the Buffalo Bills.

Adding Phillips to the roster could cause some major movement with defensive players for the Bills. One of the unexpected cuts that could happen is the Bills releasing or trading away last year's 3rd round pick, DeWayne Carter. Carter played in 11 games last season and recorded 14 tackles.
He could be the odd man out if Phillips returns to Buffalo.
