13 Things That Make You “Buffalo Country”

Most people would tell you that living on a farm already would qualify you as “country livin’,” but there’s a little more to it than that.

Luke Bryan hit us “with some hometown truth” back in 2017 with his song What Makes You Country.

In the song, you will hear these lyrics:

“You could be a cowboy on the Texas plain

Or a plowboy waitin' on the rain

We're all a little different, but we're all the same

Everybody doin' their own thing”

Country looks different depending on where you grew up, but let’s take a look at what it means to be “Buffalo Country,” according to Western New Yorkers. 

Granted, there could be a lot more things added to this list, but I think that Taste of Country every June is a definite must.

One Buffalo resident is actually in the running to be named the next Ms. Stars & Stripes, which is a sort of pageant that searches for one woman who can represent the country lifestyle for the next year at some of the hottest country events across the United States.

Whoever is voted through this round will head to the semifinals, which is one step closer to being crowned Ms. Stars & Stripes.
