Buffalo Police Bike Auction is Saturday

Each year the Buffalo Police Department holds a bicycle auction and the date was announced on Monday. The 2016 Buffalo Police Bicycle auction will take place this Saturday at 9am at police headquarters, 74 Franklin St in Buffalo.

The bikes being auctioned have been either lost and found or recovered by officers throughout the year via theft or other criminal activity. If the owners don't come forward, the bikes are then auctioned to the public.

The bikes come in all shapes and sizes and all different types of condition.

The proceeds raised benefit the general fund of the Buffalo Police Department
