Buffalo Police are warning people against leaving their cars running unattended this winter.

Police remind residents that an unattended, running vehicle is a target for auto thieves, according to WIVB.

"Police also warn that vehicle owners are subject to a traffic ticket if their vehicle is stolen with the keys inside," reports WIVB.
