Being and vegetarian or vegan isn't for everybody but according to a commissioned study by the Vegetarian Resource Group, a 2016 Harris Poll states about eight million U.S. adults are vegan or vegetarian. In addition to that some experts are saying that skipping meat could save you $750 a year!

November 1st is World Vegan Day and WalletHub has a released a report of the best cities for being a vegetarian or vegan. WalletHub analysts compared the "100 largest cities and used 15 key indicators of vegan- and vegetarian-friendliness. The data set ranges from the share of restaurants serving meatless options to the cost of groceries for vegetarians to salad shops per capita."

Now normally when you think Buffalo you think chicken wings and a lot of them, but does that mean being a vegetarian or vegan is hard in the area? According to WalletHub, the answer is no. Buffalo actually is amongst the best cities for vegetarians and vegans coming in at 16th.

Buffalo ranked fairly well in both "Affordability" and "Diversity, Accessibility and Quality" but really ranked high in "Vegetarian Lifestyle".
