Sabres fans are hopeful that this is the year they will snap the playoff drought and get back in the post season.  That starts tonight with a game against the Ottawa Senators.  If you're headed to the game, be aware there will be a lot happening before the game too!

1.  There's a party in the plaza. If you get there early enough, you'll be able to greet the team as they arrive at the arena.

2.  They will walk on a special blue and gold carpet.  What better way to welcome them back to the arena than to give them an almost royal welcome?

3.  There will be live music.  The Strictly Hip will be playing on a stage set right inside the plaza.

4.  Bring the kids!  There will be children's activities to help get them excited about Buffalo Sabres Hockey too!

5.  Sabres Alumni will be in attendance.  Keep an eye out for them.  You never know, you might score a picture or an autograph with a Sabres' great.

6.  The party starts at 4 pm.  The doors to the arena will open at 5:30 if you want to get to your seat early.

7.  Faceoff is set for 7:00 pm against the Ottawa Senators.

8.  They've got a gift for the first fans through the door.  The first 12,000 fans attending the game will receive a City of Buffalo-themed Sabres flag.

9.  There's a 50/50 tonight that is guaranteed to have a jackpot of $50,000.  On top of that, it's the first time that people can buy tickets and not even be at the game.  They will be able to purchase online for the first time ever tonight.
