After sitting out the first 21 games of the season with a high ankle sprain, Jack Eichel was back in the Buffalo Sabres lineup last night and his impact was almost immediate. Eichel scored a power play goal and assisted on another in the Sabres 5-4 win over the Ottawa Senators.

On Wednesday night at Key Bank Center, the Sabres and Ottawa Senators played to a 1-1 tie thru 60 minutes before the Sabres finally found their legs in overtime. They dominated the extra session, outshooting the Senators 8-0, but couldn't beat goaltender Mike Condon.
